Christopher Emmanuel "Chris" Paul (born May 6, 1985) is the American high quality basketball player for the L . A . Clippers on the National Basketball Association (NBA). Standing at 6 ft 0 in (1.83 m) and weighing 175 lb (79 kg), he's got started specifically at the position of point guard. Paul has won the NBA Rookie of the Year Honor, an Olympic gold medal, and led a NBA on assists 3 times and steals 6 times. He's also been chosen to 7 NBA All-Star teams, six All-NBA teams, and six All-Defensive teams.

Paul had been a McDonald's All-American in high school. He attended Wake Forest University for two time spent university basketball where he helped the Demon Deacons obtain their first ever number one ranking. He has been picked fourth all round in the 2005 NBA draft with the New Orleans Hornets and traded to the Clippers in 2011.

In December 8, 2011, the Hornets agreed to a three-team trade sending Paul for the Los Angeles Lakers. A NBA, that owned the team during the time, nullified the deal, along with commissioner David Stern claiming New Orleans would be better off keeping Paul.The teams taking part on the transaction tried out to lobby the league to reverse its ruling and reconstruct the offer to no avail.On December 12, the Hornets approved a trade sending Paul on the Los Angeles Clippers, but the deal broke down once the NBA added further demands for the authentic terms. Two days later, the teams finally formed the deal, transferring Paul and 2 future second round draft picks to the Clippers for Eric Gordon, Chris Kaman, Al-Farouq Aminu, and the Minnesota Timberwolves' unprotected first round pick inside the 2012 draft. Upon the deal's conclusion, Paul declared that he could opt to the final season for his agreement and stay for Los Angeles for at least 2 more seasons.
